NUATV Trail Riders - Boulder Utah 11-7-2020

Second day of the Northern Utah ATV Trail Riders club ride in the Escalante and Boulder Utah areas. This day we left Escalante and headed over to Boulder where we rode on the Burr Trail, one of Utah's most scenic drives. It's named after John Atlantic Burr who grew up to be a cattle rancher in the rugged backcountry of Utah. He developed this route to move his cattle between winter and summer ranges. The Burr Trail runs 67 miles and connects Boulder to Bullfrog, although on this day we did not travel the entire route. It passes through Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase Escalante, and Glen Canyon. Many thanks to our ride leaders Jerry and Teri, our tail gunner Fred, our guides Sam and Wendy Steed and all others who helped with this ride. Sam grew up in Escalante, and he and Wendy are the owners and operators of Rocky Ridge Resort in Marysvale, Utah, a very nice place to stay in that area. Sam's brother has a buffet style restaurant in Escalante at the old movie theater, so stop by there some time for a really good meal.
