2v2 Matchup with Eskimo Brothers Avalance (myself and Paul Ardill, Amateur rated) versus Wagga's own Asylum Paintball team (Michael Simpson and Chris Thomas, Pro Rated) on a field directy modelled after the "Speedball" 2v2 map on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare I'll be perfectly honest, I dropped the ball on this one. Let my anxiety of facing off against people rated as better of me do all the work for them. Between shooting goon-handed and forgetting to breathe, I'm surprised I survived as long as I did. Paul thought I shot him in the back when Chris ran up, luckily video proves I did no such thing lol. Unfortunately, that put me up in a 1v1 against a top-ranked professional of Australian paintball. When he ran up to the Snake 50 window, I lost sight of him in cover, and I got distracted by a ref running out of the firing line. According to Michael himself: "that was the luckiest snap." If only i'd positioned a bit better Truly a brilliant day. Of the 20 teams playing, only 4 had ever played tournament paintball before. 8bps cap, which is why I decided to use my EMF100 w/ Deadlywinds hAir 45 valve and Inception Fang trigger, as I could easily break that cap. The HK Army TFX2 probably wasn't the best hopper to use for the day, as i was often point-shooting to be a bit faster, and the hard tilt I had my marker at often meant i had no-feeds. Surprisingly, we dropped a few points to some of the rentals. The map was claustrophobic compared to SupAir, and it was unbelievably easy to lose players in the sprawl.
