Let's embark on an exciting journey as we begin building a new kit! This time, we'll delve into the world of 4WD with Tamiya's latest offering on the CC-02 Chassis – the Ford Bronco 2021. This kit presents a thrilling challenge and requires a higher skill level than some of the kits I've previously showcased on the channel. The Ford Bronco's captivating appearance has led me to venture beyond the box art for the body, and I can't wait to reveal the sneak peek of the color in this video. As a bonus, this kit comes with some fantastic upgrades, including oil-filled shocks and an LED light kit, which adds a touch of realism to the model. Notably, the light kit is included in the North American market, saving nearly $80.00CDN if purchased separately. In this video, we will do steps 1 and 2 of the build. The first step we have to acknowledge but we are actually going to skip over this one until a later date which I explain why in the video. For the most part, this video will focus on step 2 which, as a first actual build step, can be a little complicated if you don't pay attention during the build. Unlike the CC-01 which can only be built with a standard gear ratio, the CC-02 can be built with one of two options: A. Standard Gear Ratio or B. Low Speed Gear Ratio For the purposes of this build, we are going to build it using the low speed gear ratio. Therefore be sure to pay close, and focused, attention to this step as depending on how you want to build it you will need to place the gears in different positions. As a reminder, I am building both the Toyota Hilux Extra Cab CC-01 and the Ford Bronco 2021 CC-02 together so that we can do a direct comparison of how they both operate. Because I want these to be built as trail trucks/climbers we are building them for those purposes. So for both vehicles, any and all axles that can be, are being built with locked differentials. In the case of the CC-02, we also have the option to build it with the low speed gear setting which is why we are going to spend time learning about this in this step. Throughout the build process, if you have any questions or need clarification on anything, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to assist and wish you great success in assembling this kit. Let's get started!
