Dynamite Headdy: Scene 9-3 (Final Boss, Fan Retranslation)

Headdy managed to outrun the Spider Phantom/Super Finagler, & Maruyama/Trouble Bruin, & finally reached King Dark Demon's throne room, where he is eagerly waiting for his arrival. Fingy/Heather also shows up. DD claims himself to being the greatest puppet in the world, but before Fingy/Heather is able to tell Dark Demon who he really his, he uses his magic to suspend her up into the air, thus initiating an intense final battle between him and Headdy. -------------- As a pattern, King Dark Demon prepares a spell to use against Headdy using the orb in his hand. With 4 random head powerup to pickup during KDD's charging, you are to use one of the heads that will help you fend against or avoid KDD's attack. Whichever spell he uses depends on the colors his orb becomes. Not all of them are shown in this video but I'll list them anyway: Pink Orb: Dark Demon summons pumpkin bats from his hand. You have to kill all of them before they all kill you. Green Orb: Spike puppets appear from under Headdy's feet and rise into the air one-by-one. You can use the Hammer Head to kill them, and (READ) if you can kill all of the spike puppets without missing a single one, you'll get the FINAL SECRET BONUS POINT OF THE GAME! Blue Orb: Dark Demon launches orbs at you towards the ground, along with protecting himself with a barrier. You'll either have jump over these orbs and/or stay under their range. Be careful, though, as these orbs fly at you faster than you're able to jump and land in place. Orange Orb: The move that isn't shown here. A stone ceiling appears above you and moves around for a few seconds until it stops in place and falls. Either use the Mini Head to get inside the 1-tile holes, or, if you're normal sizes, try to reach to the 2-tile hole in time. Just stay still afterwards, because you can still get hurt really bad if you touch the wall at all, even it's already fallen. Flashing Orb: Dark Demon disappears and a GIANT beam covers the screen! The only way to dodge this is to use the Mini Head and not jump! -------------- The only way you can hurt King Dark Demon is when the black insides of his cloak flashes blue instead of red. This is only while he's preparing an attack while you're trying to pick a head powerup, and he flashes red again once you manage to hit him. If you're good enough, if the Hammer Head is available, you can pick that up, hit DD, then quickly switch to a different head before the powerups disappear and you face his next attack. You'll definitely beat him faster if you manage to hit him with Hammer Head with every single chance you have. -------------- Once King Dark Demon is defeated, he shouts "I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!" one last time while he explodes. All that's left behind is a cute smiling face called Smily/Smiley. Smily is King Dark Demon's true form, believing that he was the greatest puppet in the world. You could actually see him on KDD this whole time during the fight. Fingy/Heather is freed, and explains that to Smily that he is actually a badge of honor that is awarded to the greatest puppet in the world, not a puppet, himself. Fingy/Heather's life mission is to present Smily to the greatest puppet, who is, of course, Headdy, who just saved the whole world from King Dark Demon. Smily gets excited and happily slaps himself on Headdy's face to honor him, although Headdy himself, isn't too fond of his affection. This is actually a different outcome from the American version of the game, but I'll get into that later. -------------- I have a few more videos for this game that focuses on its ending, because when it's all combined, together, it makes for a rather lengthy ending. So stay tuned for more!
