Bikepacking overnighter - Pole Taiga fatbike, sauna & new trails | Taival Outdoors

In the scorching midsummer heat and chased by a swarm of bugs, I go bikepacking with a fatbike to Pihlajaniemi outdoor trails in Savonlinna, all geared up for an overnight adventure. But was it really an adventure since I had a good GPS trail to follow the whole time? I let you decide on that. Main purpose was to test out some bikepacking bags and see how Pole Taiga with front suspension handles the load and what kind of terrain I can conquer with this setup. I spend the night near Tervastupa and enjoy the sauna facilities - much recommended! 00:00 The ride begins, talking about the trail 03:43 Kuikankolo lean-to shelter 04:57 Gravel grinding and duckboards 10:33 Tervastupa and setting up camp 13:09 Bikepacking bags and other gear 21:00 Sauna! 21:58 Camp dinner by the lake 26:05 Technical morning ride 29:59 Kollaa lean-to shelter and breakfast 32:28 Sharing memories of my first bikepacking trip (2012) 36:33 Trying to find a way out of the forest 🔔 SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/TaivalOutdoor... 📸 INSTAGRAM:   / taival.outdoors   Disclosures At the time of this video, I was an ambassador and testing gear for the following companies: 5.11 Tactical Finland https://511tactical.fi/ Keli Clothing https://keliclothing.fi/ -- Taival Outdoors is a channel about the great outdoors, spending time in nature doing everything from day hikes and overnight adventures to bikepacking and multi-day wilderness backpacking. Trekking is close to my heart, but I’m not tied to any particular "genre" like ultralight or bushcraft – instead I do what I've found through my experience in the wild to work the best for me. I'm also making gear reviews and skill videos based on what I actually use and how I operate in nature. Thanks for watching!
