Ghar houses an orphanage for girls. Ghar is a home of warmth, encouragement and learning where orphan, abandoned and vulnerable girls dream and reach for the stars. Ghar is the quintessence of happiness and aspirations, of hope and a sound future; of opportunities to realise one’s potential, of growing into conscientious adults who care. Ghar is about giving our girls meaningful, purposeful and fulfilling lives and them learning how to use that to make an impact and a difference in the lives of others. We envisage that they will carry the message of humanity, empathy, goodness and love to their respective worlds and impact people’s lives in times to come. Ghar is also a home for women with locomotor disabilities and an old age home for senior citizens. Ghar is the creation of a family of daughters, mothers and grandparents and their bonding as we have in our own families. Three generations of people from diverse backgrounds are woven together as one family with togetherness, belongingness, security, hope and above all, love and affection. Ghar is the mother for her children, the elder sister for women with disabilities and a companion for the elderly. Ghar is life!
