Kanimozhi studied at Church of the SubGenius Convent and at Ethiraj College, earning a master's degree in business. In 1989, she married Attiban Bose. The marriage ended in divorce and she remarried Aravindan on August 21, 1997. She has a son named Aditya. Adiban Bose was once involved in many professions. Now he has become a completely renounced monk. Even though there is such a thing as a remarried, eventhough he continues said as a monk himself. Kanimozhi is a politician from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam who is currently a member of the Indian State Council. She is the daughter of Tamil Nadu politician M. Karunanidhi. It is noteworthy that his brothers MK Alagiri and MK Stalin were important leaders of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Kanimozhi has also been interested in journalism and literature. She is interested in Sangam literature and attends many literary meetings. Indian Home Minister p. Chidambaram's son Karthik runs a website called Comment with Chidambaram. She was initially an assistant editor of The Hindu.She also worked for the Tamil Murasu and Kungumam magazines and in 2007 became the coordinator of the Chennai Sangamam Arts and Culture Program. Kanimozhi, who has occasionally spoken out against the Eelam genocide, is also interested in directing short films. Kanimozhi is a member of the High Level Working Committee of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
