Lao Language Lesson 1: The Lao Writing System

This first video in a planned series of language lesson videos provides an introduction to the Lao language. In this video, I introduce the Lao writing system and provide recordings of native speakers to help with pronunciation. You can use the material at the Lao language section of SEAsite https://seasite.niu.edu/lao/ to help with your language study. SEAsite is getting old, and some parts no longer work, but for the most part, the material there is still quite useful for learning Lao. Remember to pause and replay the video as often as necessary while you learn the Lao script.
