China barely stood up from her blood, her tears, her ashes and ocean of grief, when US air force was bombing China's border ( between China and North Korea) in early 1950s, rubbing salt into China's wounds, in the name of FREEDOM! The new born Communist China didn't even have a proper air force: more than half of pilots were borrowed from USSR ... of NO return, we are ETERNALLY INDEBTED to those Russian pilots who sacrificed their lives for us! This movie is based on a true story, is about China's participation in the battle at Shang Gan Ling (上甘岭) during Korean War, where China famously beat the arrogant shit out of Americans. American soldiers fully equipped with cutting edge technology were defeated in total disgrace. 128,650 casualties, 128,650 young American lives were wasted in this unrighteous, ungodly Korean War - the only war America ever surrendered!
