Today's Pokemon deep dive has us taking an in depth look at a facility about as foundational and core as it gets. The Pokemon Daycare could be considered the backbone of Pokemon in many ways, and we're going to explore its beauty as finely as possible. From Pokemon Red and Blue all the way up to Pokemon Sword and Shield, it might just be one of the best places in the series. Let's dive in! From shiny hunting to VGC grinding, the daycare is a core piece of Pokemon's process. The introduction of Pokemon eggs and the subsequent Pokemon breeding in Gold and Silver set the stage for its grander functionality, and the rest is history. Being able to collect and manipulate eggs is one of the most important parts of the Pokemon "process"- you can breed for IVs, moves, shiny hunting, you name it. And it all rests on the many successes of the Pokemon Daycare. It's a pretty great place.
