This scandal erupted after viral videos by blogger Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, claimed that officers from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) received ₦15 million from Bobrisky to drop money laundering charges against him during his notorious naira spraying incident earlier this year, which culminated in a six-month prison sentence. This incident raises pressing questions about corruption within public service and highlights the urgent need for reform.
