The Super Smash Bros. Series is long overdue for its next brawl on Nintendo's Switch 2. Everyone wants news on it. But should the future of Smash Bros be a fresh reboot focusing on Mario and the close knit Nintendo crew once again? Or should the Switch's Smash Ultimate just be redressed and added onto? And in either case, which Smash fighters do you want to see added?!!The Smash Bros series only releases once a generation, and always soon after the new console, so fans know, with Mashahiro Sakurai at Smash Bros'. helm or not, a new Smash IS coming. But its hard to know how Nintendo will play this inevitably essential Switch 2 game. By Rebooting Smash, Mario and other Nintendo characters would be able to reinvigorate themselves and Smash Bros itself, giving themselves all new movesets, stages, and reclaim the spotlight from all the avalanche of third party content that has assaulted Smash Bros., especially Smash Ultimate. It could provide an opportunity for brand new mechanics, physics, and gameplay styles. Also, making the roster smaller could lead to a brand new one player mode like Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary mode, instead of the awful collectathon that was Smash Ultimate's World of Light quest! It's an amazing prospect to look forward to! However, if Sakurai isn't involved, the man who has his fingerprints on EVERY past entry, what risks could that pose? How would fans react to not being able to jump into a new Smash Bros. game without already knowing all the veterans established movesets? Perhaps rereleasing Smash Bros. Ultimate is the best call? Video game fans LOVE the crossover aspect of Smash and want MORE third party characters. Let's surpass the 100 fighter threshold, keep ALL the new favourites like Cloud, Sora, Banjo-Kazooie and Steve from Minecraft, and just add MORE like Doom Guy, Shantae, Leon from RE4 and more! You could release the game easier, quicker, and make tons of money guaranteed! But this has its own problems; you'll get fewer new ideas, including stages, genuine first party Nintendo newcomers, and no new tricks or combat elements to learn at all, and that would be boring for Smash veterans!
