This grail pen has been glittering in my collection for close to a year, and I finally pulled it out of storage to ink and play with. 🤩✒️ Meet the Benu Minima in Blazing Gold, a luxury writing instrument sparkling with gold leaf in high polished translucent resin. Wow. ✨ I inked it with Herbin’s Ambre de Baltique, and it’s a beautiful match. I sometimes stop myself from inking and playing with my tools until I’ve had a chance to film the process or shoot content with it. It makes for a lot of waiting around and window shopping, and I’m trying to get better about actually using my tools so I can enjoy them instead of only admiring them from afar! About this pen & ink combo: 👇 The Medium Schmidt nib on this fountain pen is juicy and smooth, like writing with butter! 🧈 It glides so nicely across the page, especially the new Sanzen TRP which has more texture than oldschool Tomoegawa paper. I’m wondering if it’s because of this Jacques Herbin ink, or if it really is just a wonderfully wet and smooth pen? 🤔 The real test, I think, will be inking it with a shimmer ink of some kind next! Any suggestions? I love how compact and rounded the Minima model is. It feels so nice in hand, a smooth and sleek pen that would make anyone say “wow”. I have tiny hands as is, and this pen fits my grip so comfortably!
