You can save hundreds of $$$ or even more for this DIY fix. Do it in your own risk cause it’s a difficult fix due to the location of the heater core. Safety precautions should be in place. Put the car in a ramp or in a jack stand to raise the level of the car and it won’t be so hard for you kneeling down. Also cooling down the engine coolant to a safe temp maybe after 1 hr to avoid skin burn if the coolant is still hot. Once all safety measures are in place start draining the coolant in the radiator drain valve. Using electric ratchet in tightening the clamps to the hose will speed up the process. Hope this will help those owners of this model car in saving money for the fix or if you can afford just bring your car in the ford dealer and they will repair it and a new design heater core will be installed. It will be a one piece pipe now without a connection like the old design which you will see in the video.
