US-Japan Joint Infantry Combat Live Fire Exercise In Japan

Soldiers of the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, U.S. Army National Guard of Indiana and the 21st Infantry Regiment, 9th Division, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) conduct a live fire exercise during Orient Shield 2018 at Ojojihara Maneuver Area, Japan from August 26 to September 19, 2018. Since its inception in 1985, Orient Shield has focused on the development and refinement of the JGSDF and U.S. Army’s efforts in the areas of bilateral planning, coordination and interoperability.
