Trip down from mid to bottom cable car station in Goldeck, Spittal, Austria, on 10/03/2018. Filmed with GoPro Hero4 attached to the body harness. The route connects middle and bottom cable car stations, on a north slope of Goldeck summit, with height difference of almost 1000m. Length is roughly 8km (5 miles) and is marked as black. Reasons: - length and lack of branches or rest places: once you're on it, you have to do it all - it goes through the forest, so sudden changes in lighting are common, topped up by change of quality of snow: soggy where the sun reaches and icy in perpetual shade - lots of sharp bends and narrow passages - fairly steep at times Based on the length of this video and Ski Tracks app data, I'd say that average speed on this run was 60km/h (37mph), with peak around 80km/h (50mph).
