Are you replacing a power steering system component? This video shows you the proper way to fill and bleed all air out of the system. NOTE: It is really important to make sure you bleed all the air out of the steering replacement component. 1) Raise the wheels of the vehicle off the ground and support the vehicle. (0:25) 2) Fill the reservoir to the cold line with OE approved power steering fluid. (0:30) 3) With the engine NOT running, turn the steering wheel lock to lock 10 to 15 times. (0:35) This will normally purge most of the air from the system. Check and refill fluid as necessary. 4) Start the engine and again, turn the steering wheel lock to lock 10 to 15 times. (0:46) Check and refill fluid as necessary. All air should now be bled our of the system. **If you can't seem to get all the air our of the system or you're noticing the pump is still noisy or fluid spews out of the reservoir when the engine is shut off, vacuuming bleeding should get the job done.
