Model T Oil Distribution without a Screen

This video shows how the oil flows across the band set while running. The car used is a 1915 Model T Touring Car restored by my father, Robert Lindsay, in the mid-1970s. The oil flow slowly coats the inside of the plexiglass cover. If you watch a later video, the oil has already covered the cover and left a thin layer. I'm guessing the result is that the oil didn't come down like it did with the clean cover so the video is much clearer in that one. You'll also see why people put 'screens' under the transmission cover where the oil gets distributed more evenly. A video was done with the oil screen in it in a later video.
