Current POB: https://pastebin.com/TYm6z4CY Planning upgrade: https://pastebin.com/y9Z2TDge First of all, this build is not created by myself, the idea comes from Ka Cha (video below), and I just make my own version of it    • PoE 3.16 CWDT Forbidden Rite Build Wa...   This is a brilliant idea to mitigate multiple small damage by Ward, so we can trigger "Cast when damage taken" without actually damaging ourselves Also the new passive recouped as life passive provide massive amount of life recovery Why this is viable in 3.16? 1. Iron Flasks now last 5 seconds (previously 3) 2. 30% Recouped as life in passive, providing 3000 life recovery per second 3. Flask Mastery - Utility Flask gain 1 Charge every 3 seconds 4. Survival Secrets Cobalt Jewel - Flasks applied to you have 20% reduced Effect (less drawback from Olroth's Resolve Iron Flask) How much to start? Below 10ex to get the ward and flask ready, then upgrade CWDT and cluster step by step Ward------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is Ward? Ward is introduced in 3.15, which is a layer of defense like ES and Aegis that absorbs damage before life. After being hit by any amount of damage, ward will deplete, recharging after 5 seconds. How to make Ward permeant? 1. Olroth's Resolve Iron Flask - Ward does not Break during flask effect, however we have 70% less ward during flask effect (that's why we use Survival Secrets Cobalt Jewel here) 2. Timeless's keystone passive "The Traitor" - Flasks Gain 4 Charges per empty Flask Slot every 5 seconds 3. reduce charge used, increase flask duration, and charge gained from belt/ passives/ cluster 4. Auto flask - "Reused at the end of this Flask's effect"/ "Used when Charges reach full" What happen if we have permeant Ward? 1. The damage Ward absorbed is still counting as 'damage taken', where the fun begins. 2. We take multiple small damage which can be all absorbed by Ward, and trigger CWDT without actually damaging ourselves How to get Ward? 1. Ward items can be found from expeditions. 2. High Ward item can be easily craft by dense fossil 3. Skin of the Loyal - 100% increased Global Defenses 4. Staff Mastery - 30% increased Defenses while wielding Staff Loop------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is Heartbound Loop? 1. A unique ring that you take 350 damage on minion death (can be increased to 420 by physical catalyst) 2. Weapon with Essence of Insanity on 2nd weapon set - Triggers Level 20 Spectral Spirits when Equipped 3. Swap weapon (press X twice) - the spectral spirits die and trigger low level CWDT to summon skeleton 4. Reduce skeleton duration to 0.25s (CWDT cooldown is 0.25s) 5. You take 420*3 damage after 0.25s that trigger low level CWDT to summon skeleton 6. Step5 repeat forever until you took off the ring How to reduce skeleton duration to 0.25s and not die before 0.25s? 1. Anomalous Summon Skeletons - Minions can't be Damaged for (0–2) seconds after being Summoned 2. Anomalous Minion Speed - Reduce 40% duration 3. 3 x "To Dust" jewels - Reduce 20% + 20% + 18% duration 4. lv1 Less Duration - 40% less duration Summary: Skeleton duration = 20s * (1-0.4-0.2-0.2-0.18) * 0.6 = 0.24s Hoe many damage taken needed for every 0.25s? lv20 CWDT is triggered when you take 3272 damage Divergent CWDT reduce it to 80%, which is 3272*0.8 = 2617.6 How to take 2617.6 damage? 1. Heartbound Loop - 420x3 = 1260 self damage every 0.25 sec (Ward absorb all damage) 2. lv1 CWDT with Forbidden Rite - 40% life x chaos resistance (my case 3090 x 0.4 x 1.25 = 1545, ward absorbed 1425 damage, so we just take 120 damage) Summary: taking 120 damage every 0.25s for lv20 CWDT (can be reduced to 0 for better equipment) Other------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How many life are recouped? We take 2804 damage every 0.25 sec, and 30% of it will be recouped in next 4s 2804 * 0.3 /4 = 210 per second In 4s, we are damaging ourselves 16 times, so we have 16 recouped instance Then our life recovery is 210 * 16 = 3369 per second Why Elementalist? 1. Mastermind of Discord - Exposure extra -25% resistance 2. Heart of Destruction - Good AOE for clearing, and good dmg booster for bossing 3. Shaper of Winter - 50% more effect of cold ailments for Brittle Why multiple Spell? 1. CWDT trigger spells at the same time 2. Most support gems can only maximum to have 50% more, if we trigger another spell with similar damage, that is 100% more 3. Trigger 3 spells in a 6 link would be the optimal case (enough damage for aliment effect from one spell) 4. Cold and Fire Critical hit with "Secrets of Suffering" inflict Scorch and Brittle for damage
