Another request from an audience member in the AO Arena, Manchester, UK. This time they wanted the Queen of Motown Pop to put on her hat as...The Boss! And did she ever! She gave that song a work out without leaving the comfort of her chair! How does one do that? LOL. But Ms Ross reminded people that when it comes to dance hits, no one can do it like her! "The Boss" was an epic change for Ms. Ross who flirted with dance songs previously, most notably, "Love Hangover," but it wasn't until Ashford & Simpson put Diana Ross under the disco charts with this dance classic that Ms Ross truly became a dance diva! The album topped the dance charts as did the singles that came pouring out of it. She almost gave Donna Summer a run for the title, "Disco Queen." Of course, the following album (not counting the Ross 78' regurgitation) produced by Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards solidified her status on the dance charts and proved once again that Diana Ross knew no music boundaries.
