The Mankoli-Mothagaon bridge designed with the intent of reducing travel distance by approximately 27 km beyween Kalyan-Dombivali and Thane, the bridge's strategic location will offer travellers two alternative routes to reach Thane or Mumbai. One route will take commuters through Dombivli, Shilphata, Mumbra, Thane, and Mulund, while the other will guide them via Dombivli, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Bypass, and finally onto National Highway 3 leading to Mumbai. Commuters can now travel from Thane to Dombivali in under 20 minutes. Travellers endure traffic delays on their journey to Dombivli from Thane, and to go to Dombivli from the Mumbai-Nashik highway, they must pass via Kalyan. Other methods are also time-demanding.
