My DIY Hickory Bamboo backed American Longbow - Wood Board bow Build (the goal 80# draw)

Hickory Bamboo backed longbow build, this one is setting the tone for my next few builds. As I have time, I will be trying to make an 80#-90#-100# Longbows out of wood/bamboo. The reason for this high goal is to see if I can do it (my nephew asked if I could) and to see how strong wood is for building bows. I have read a couple of books by Howard Hill and Saxton Pope who talk of their 75# even 115# longbows and have since been mesmerized by their creative genius, strength, and ability with the longbow in one of its most simple forms. I hope that I can share some of my gifts, love for the sport, and my little bit of knowledge with you so that you too will take on the challenge of creating your own longbow.
