OM DZAMBALA DZALENDRAYE SOHA 嗡，占巴拉，杂勒扎耶，唆哈 According to tradition, Dzambala was Buddha Shakyamuni’s disciple and was a yaksha being. He protected the Buddha and on one occasion, he was badly injured. The Buddha healed him with nectar that issued forth from his sacred hand. Dzambala became enlightened and was henceforth known as a wealth-bestowing deity. This means that he bestows inner and outer wealth by means of purification of miserliness and selfishness, which are the causes of poverty.
