RIVER OF ICE at Niagara Falls (Part 1, Feb.26, 2019)

The Ice Bridge at Niagara Falls is seen stretching from the base of the Horseshoe Falls down to the Maid of the Mist dry dock past the Rainbow Bridge, Feb.26, 2019. The Bridal Veil Fall is running with a much smaller plume, due to ice buildup. This is Day 32 since the formation of this Ice Bridge. Note: a steel pontoon, part of the Lake Erie Ice Boom, had broken off during a storm 2 days ago (on Feb.24). It floated downriver with a lot of ice and ended up here below the Falls. It can be seen laying on top of the Ice Bridge at 01:37, and is more clearly seen in the photo at 12:49. It is a long steel cylinder 30ft long by 30 in. diam. As of yesterday (Feb.25, at 8 pm) this cylinder was NOT here yet, so, it had arrived at some point in the last 18 hrs! SEE PART 2:    • RIVER OF ICE at Niagara Falls (Part 2...
