Transposition of this idea into the region of music means the establishing of logic of the musical shaping as well as taking into consideration the perceptive abilities of a listener. Thereby, all the results are equally 'accurate'.” Srdjan Hofman I used professor Hofman's own comment of his piece Rebus to create a new work. Therefore, another REBUS with the result which is equally accurate. The form of this piece develops on the ground of a tritone interval (H-F) which is present as a base throughout the composition. H O F M A N Using the principles of dodecaphony, two series appear in their original form, but also in retrograde, inversion, and retrograde inversion. Between the occurences of these series, parts of the base sometimes 'modulate, the tones of the tritone interval are changed, or different intervals and chords appear. The piece is written in the memory of professor Sran Hofman, and it is dedicated to the family Hofman-Sretenovic.
