Next, we take a moment for something special: replacing our old flag with a brand-new one on a fresh flagpole. It’s a bit of a tradition, and this marks the last time we’ll do it this season. A simple, yet meaningful way to honor the hard work that’s gone into this year’s harvest. With the harvester ready and the flag flying high, we head out into the field to chop the vines. This crucial step clears the way for the harvester to come through and dig the potatoes. As always, timing is key in making sure everything lines up perfectly, so we stay focused to get the vines chopped just right. Once that’s done, we jump into the harvester and get to work, pulling potatoes from the earth, row after row.
