Unique Raksha Gocham of Gangteng Tshechu 2024 || Raksha Gocham|Bhutanese Traditional Beauty Pageant The Gangteng (or Gangtey) Tshechu is a vibrant Buddhist festival held annually at the Gangtey Monastery in Bhutan. In 2024, it will take place from September 16 to September 18. The festival, celebrated over three days, includes a series of sacred mask dances, folk performances, and spiritual rituals that are rooted in Bhutanese culture and religious traditions. The festival is notable for its strong local atmosphere and its connection to the Peling tradition, founded by the great Buddhist master Pema Lingpa​(Bhutan Travel)​(Firefox Tours Bhutan). Highlights of the festival include several powerful and captivating dances, such as the Pa Cham (Dance of the Heroes) and the Tsholing Cham, which represent battles between gods and demons.
