While the intention may be good to better deliver the golf club from the inside in the downswing, the results can be anything but positive. This is why we'd prefer see your shoulder turn actually get you a bit open through the strike. And when you look at the best players in the world, and great ball strikers throughout history, they truly aren't "closed off". In fact, they are allowing themselves to unwind and get open through the hitting area. Why be restricted when you can freely, make an effortless turn through?
