And I bring some Pokémon G9 stuff with me! I fell in love with these legendaries and, of course, their theme, so here is my first take on Scarlet and Violet! It was kind of a pain to finalize the piece for multiple reasons, the first one being the very present electronic side of the original composition and the complexity of sounds that goes with it. I wanted to keep it as "natural" as I could for an orchestral piece, some parts were modified and just couldn't be redone exactly as it is in the original (which is a good thing though, it forces creativity and finding alternatives). I finished the full mix and even recorded some guitar parts during last night to make sure it would be up today. I also went a bit softer on what I would call the "grandiose-orchestra" aspect. I wanted some parts to shine for their aggressiveness (2:22) while others would shine as well for their high-speed energy or melodies instead (1:23). Otherwise I also tried to make the bass a bit more present but I'm still experiencing with this though. Last cover for Ho-Oh was so big in terms of orchestration and number of instruments that it ended being harder to let the bass shine too much back at the time. Another reason that made the working process complicated recently is that, as I said in my recent community post, university takes quite a lot of my time (among other things) : exams to pass, studying, some rehearsals and shows to prepare... It's quite intense since the last two weeks and now I enter into the final rush of exams until December 13th. This is also the main reason why I wasn't able to finish the Bazelgeuse cover (the other being that the piece is almost 8 minutes long 🤔) but don't worry, it IS coming! I'm just working slowly on it. :) This was a long "hiatus" that needed to come to an end. Now heavy stuff is on the way. 🎸 Anyway I hope you'll dig this cover as much as the last ones!
