Hi all, we just purchased the Central Machinery 4"x36" belt sander and decided to make an unboxing, assembly, review, and mod video. After using the sander for a little bit, we noticed that a lot of sawdust was produced, making it very hard to use without goggles and a gas mask. To fix this, we 3D printed a small attachment that allows you to attach a ShopVac to the collector tubes. The ShopVac simply sucks up the sawdust as it is produced, making everything cleaner! The .STL files are downloadable for FREE from Thingiverse in the link included below. A complete parts list is also included below with links to purchase all of the items. Update: As suggested by a viewer you may want to look into: "moving the motor slightly to prevent the sanding belt from slipping under load. Loosen the 4 bolts that attach the motor and slide the motor to tighten the drive belt.
