PROJECT "OVERKiLL" 2020 - PT 10 - DUAL REEFS RC 422HD v2 WiNCH SERVO iNSTALL & TEST | RC ADVENTURES

One in the Front, and One in the Back - .... Dual Winches are in no doubt completely OVERKILL for any normal Trail Truck.. but anyone who is following this build knows that it is far from normal. This is being built for a competition that hopefully happens the 3rd Week in July, 2020 called the STTC - or as some know it, 1/10th SCALE TOUGH TRUCK CHALLENGE! This particular build is the first time I have really picked all of the pieces I would really want in my ball-out Tough Truck. Vanquish F9 Portal Axles, Hobbywing 3300kv sensored, brushless Xerun 550 Motor and AXE ESC combo, GCM Racing C-MAXX chassis, "RC ISSUES" brass suspension Links, Dual Desert Lizard Shocks on all 4 corners, a 1/8th scale Proline GMC Topkick Body (Discontinued), Supershafty "Bombproof" transmission, a 3 Brothers RC steering servo, an Old Front Aluminum bumper from a RC4WD Hilux, an old steel bar rear bumper, dual Reefs RC winch servos, a 3s 5000mah Hard Case Lipo, and a handful of handmade/modified parts to make this all come together. I have not weighed my truck, but it is forward weighted and I would guess its about 8lbs. I find it to be a comfortable weight, and think with the proper amount of gearing, a mixture of wheel speed and the ability to "precision-climb" will help bring me an advantage at this years 2 day event. When I get the second winch installed, I hook up two of my All-Metal 30LB Hydraulic Articulating Dump trucks.. and test these Reefs RC Servo Winches on a Dead Drag.. AT THE SAME TIME!! NO BEC NEEDED.. I couldn't believe it. Those servos take care of themselves.. and it is amazing to see the pure power.
