I was jigging with dark colored twister meanie curly tail jigs and other curly tail jigs and also burning crankbaits and rapalas in the rivers during the afternoon and evening. I was trying to target walleye and smallmouth bass, and I ended up landing a big smallmouth bass right after I started fishing, and I caught some other decent bass, walleye, yellow perch, and rock bass later on. I used 4 lb test the whole time for extra challenge, but that ended up being a bad choice I think because I also hooked into a big, powerful fish while jigging, and it spooled me across the river and against the current (on 4 lb test) before falling off the hook -- it was a fast fish, so I think it was probably a giant foul-hooked carp or maybe even a tiger musky. This is one of many videos in the Lure Fishing series -- watch others for triple-digit numbers of fish, trophy fish, the tips and techniques I pick up along the way, and more!
