30V 3A DC Regulated Power Supply Kit from Banggood - DIY Electronic Project

Showing the assembly of the kit a final testing. The last PSU I built was from an Amtron UK677 kit back in 1978! The kit of parts including the PCB are all good quality. Full instructions are given to assemble the kit. The kit does not included the heatsink or fan needed to cool the output power transistor. I used an old heatsink and fan from an old 80186 computer CPU. This fan has a working voltage of 12 volts and I show the use of a small "D-Sun" DC - DC converter to drop the on board 24 volt to 12 volts for the fan and the Volt / Ammeter I used. Also required is a suitable 24 volt AC transformer to power the unit, I used one from Radio Spares part number 504-060. Calibration instructions are also given in the assembly guide. The completed kit is built into an enclosure also sourced from Radio Spares part number 220-440.
