Date: Wednesday July 3, 2024 Location: Walpole, MA (at the MBTA Station) Video Resolution: 4k, 30 FPS (iPhone 14 Pro Max) [Train list at the bottom] I made a plan to try to catch the CSX local L010 on its eastern run on MBTA Franklin Line, returning to Readville. I was thinking I'd go to one of the Norwood T stations to catch it. But on this day, I changed my plan a little and opted to go to Walpole instead. I was worried I wouldn't catch it and thought that Walpole would have a higher floor for activity than Norwood. Good call! The action was far better than I could have imagined. I saw L010 working the yard almost immediately. So I felt pretty good that I would be able to catch it heading east. While I waited for it, I was quite surprised to have L011 come up the Framingham Secondary; I heard its rumble from around the corner when it was waiting for a signal. Later on, I experienced a situation with four trains being at or near the station simultaneously, two CSX and two MBTA. I wouldn't have thought that possible. I was going to chase L010 to one of the Norwood stations, but Waze said it was 13 minutes to go 5.1 miles so I figured I had no chance of beating the train there. So I got the crazy idea to drive to Readville. But that's a story for another video, hopefully coming soon. Enjoy!
