President Washington Ham Radio Do It Yourself Fan KIt. #cb #cbradio #hamradio The president Washington is a great rig with many features. One of my favorite features is temperature controlled cooling fan operation. President sells a nice fan kit however I understand that they are not readily available at this time. ( July 2024 ) So I decided to make my own fan kit. If you are fairly handy this little project will only take a few minutes to do. After filming I did put a dab of E6000 glue on the terminals and on the channel that is provided for running the wires into the rig. I used just a "dab" of glue so I can take the non OEM fans off and use OEM fan kit if I decide to go OEM. However I must say the fans I'm using are ball bearing and push a lot of air due to the pitch of the blades. These fans cool the radio down very quickly!!! Zero noise is brought into the radio from these fans.
