How to Make Easy Sourdough Bread from Start to Finish

Join me as I make my go-to sourdough bread to feed my family! This is the easiest sourdough bread recipe, with quantities that are simple to remember! In the video, I 4x the recipe, so I'll put the quantities for 1 loaf here: 100g sourdough starter, active 300g water (I used whey in the video) 10 g salt 400g flour In the morning, mix the starter, water and salt till combined. Add the flour and mix until all the flour is incorporated. Set aside for 30 minutes. Stretch and fold, 4 times, with 30 minutes in between each stretch and fold. After the 4th stretch and fold, cover and leave to bulk ferment. The time will vary depending on the time of year. You'll know it's ready when it has doubled in size. Shape the dough, and leave in the fridge to cold ferment (I left mine on the countertop since it is winter here and I had no room in the fridge!). In the morning, preheat the oven to the hottest setting. Once it has come to temp, score the dough and transfer it to the oven. You could use a Dutch oven. I did not as I had multiple loaves to bake! If using a Dutch oven, be sure to pop it into the pre-heating oven so it's HOT by the time you transfer the bread to it!. Bake for 30-40 minutes (at least 45 minutes if using a Dutch oven!)
