Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network

Founded by actor and accomplished poet, Omari Hardwick, along with NFL legend Jason Taylor, the Jason Taylor Foundation (JTF) and program director, Darius Daughtry, have expanded the Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network, throughout Broward County Public Schools since October 2012. It has since grown to more than 40 high schools, middle schools and select elementary schools. In collaboration with the School Board of Broward County's Diversity, Cultural Outreach and Prevention Department, the bluapple Poetry Network provides an environment for students to focus on literacy, prevention issues and social awareness as vehicles for self expression, both written and through performance, ultimately empowering young people, the schools they attend and the communities in which they live.
