Transformed and Conformed | Creating Safe Places and Finding Your Place(s) of Refuge

Every one needs a place where they can feel peace or be at peace. This might be a country retreat, an ocean beach, a peaceful garden, a sunny meadow, or a cozy room.  But these very real spots may not be readily available when an individual most needs it! When anxiety begins to overwhelm someone while they are at work or school, or any place where it wouldn't be good to "fall apart" in, that person needs an inner mental 'safe haven'. There is a chance that you might already have used your 'sanctified imagination' to form a beautiful place within, either through prayer or worship that you use to meet with and fellowship with the Lord. If so, this is a perfect inner place to be your 'refuge/safe place' or haven. Or, you can create this inner space. The development of this mental haven utilizes God’s gift of creativity within us, along with a sanctified imagination.  When fear, panic, or self-destructive thoughts become overwhelming, you can use your imagination to go to a restful inner sanctuary to regain a sense of safety or peace, to restore strength, and to achieve a renewal of spirit. This is a flip through of my 'Portable Safe Place' journal that ended up becoming a type of "commonplace" book. For a full set of instructions on developing an inner refuge, establishing a healing place, click this link: https://bit.ly/4e8JgAH. These instructions plus this flip through enable you to make your own 'Transformed and Conformed' portable safe place. Please note that the personal coat of arms and is not included in the healing place instructions, but will be part of next week's newsletter.
