The population of the United States visualized

United States population growth from 1790 to 2020 visualized with 3200 wooden blocks. Using census data, we can in this visualization see the population growth and geographical shift to the west as the vast nation grow. Every block represents 100 000 inhabitants. Today, California, Texas, Florida and New York are the most populous states, but that has not always been the case.
