MTA Special: R160 (F) + Rerouted (E) (M) Train Action At Roosevelt Island Station: (09/24/2024)

Tuesday, 09/24/2024, from 5:24 PM (17:24), to 6:43 PM (18:43), MTA NYC Subway IND 63rd Street Line, this is some R160 (F), and rerouted (E) and (M) train action (filmed from the Queens Bound platform), at the Roosevelt Island Station (owned by Manhattan). This was filmed during the PM Rush Hour. On this day during the late afternoon/early evening, (E) and (M) trains experienced severe delays and some rerouting after a train with a mechanical problem was removed from service near Lexington Avenue-53rd Street. As a result to keep trains moving and bypassing the impacted area, Queens Bound (E) and (M) trains were rerouted and sharing tracks with the (F) train. Queens Bound (E) trains ran via the (F) line (local via 6th Avenue, and via 63rd Street), from West 4th Street-Washington Square (Manhattan), to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue (Queens). Queens Bound (M) trains ran via the (F) line (via 63rd Street), from 47-50th Streets-Rockefeller Center (Manhattan), to 36th Street (Queens).
