The scores were so close that anyone in the top 57 could still get a top ten place. So many pilots have come to this competition to get one of the precious Super Final places. This morning anyone in the top 65 was in a position to get a top 15 automatic selection place. With a lot more cirrus than we’ve seen so far, a 79.5 km corridor task zig-zagging north west downwind via three cylinders was set. Today was a day of continuously changing leaders. Those who had been leading the competition played it cautiously, leaving the way for Adrian Martin Acosta to get to goal more than a minute ahead. This has been an absolutely fabulous week proving Pico Do Gaviao to be one of the best venues in the World. Well done to the pilots and organisers and especially Meet Director Dio Rosendo. The launch of the World Cup App has gone very well this week displaying the live commentary, tracking and leader board, allowing everyone to keep up with the day’s action.
