This video is about a John Deere X9 1100 & features a John Deere 8400R corn trailering which kicks in after 7 minutes so don’t miss some of the best bits by only watching the great close ups of the first tractor unloading on the move.. Many thanks go to Peter Harriman from Godfrey’s and the guys from John Deere for letting me film this impressive combine in action. The machine used its 40 foot header and some of it’s 700 horse power to fly through the crop at over 10kph with next to no losses and in such a decent crop of winter wheat yielding around 10 t/ha, it really was impressive. There are lots of John Deere tractors carting the wheat back to the farm yard but the real interesting one is the big 8400R pulling the huge Bailey Tri Axle corn blower trailer. This video covers everything from showing the X9 filling up with diesel and then attaching the 40 foot header to then taking it off again and putting it on a lorry and pulling away to go to the next farm up near Scotland. It was one of the best memories of harvest 2020. I hope you enjoyed the quick taster but find the full edited film I've just finished even better. Initially I was told it was a spring wheat but now had it confirmed it was a winter wheat.
