The DJI Mini 2 Intelligent Flight Battery Specs Its a 2 Cell LIPO battery (Lithium polymer battery)with a voltage rating of 7.7V 2250 mAh Battery Dimensions are 3 x 1.5 x 3/4 inches It has Smart Charging and Discharging Functionality. It is Rated but DJI to provide you with 31 Min of flight time in ideal conditions. I have only been able to get 24 min of flight time on my MINI 2 with a fully charged battery however I frequently fly over a lake where there are no obstacles and tend to have more wind than inland areas. This battery has internal electronics that control the charging process. The smart charger function allows the battery to charge each of its two cells at the same time balancing the voltage between the two so that it has the best performance. If a cell becomes damaged it will notify you in the app that there is cell damage to the battery. The auto discharge function automatically discharges the battery to keep if from swelling which is a reaction resulting from a damaged or bad battery. It actually helps protect the battery life in that way. It protects the battery but discharges it to 96% of the battery level when it is Idle for a day and to around 74% if it is idle for 9 days. It also has built-in overcharge protection in that the battery will stop charging once it is reached a full charge. It will also only charge between 41 Degrees and 104 degrees. So If you are out on a cold day or have your batteries sitting In the sun on a hot day and you are attempting to charge them you may notice that they are not charging. I personally try to keep them in a space around 75 degrees F so that they can function properly. It's not good for these batteries to be discharged below a certain level either so they have protections in place to keep them from being overly discharged but they will not protect from over-discharge while you are using them to fly your MINI 2. So you really need to land as quickly as possible when those errors or warnings start to go off in the app or on your controller. While in flight the MINI 2 also communicates information back to your controller on the battery status. I currently have 4 DJI MINI 2 intelligent flight batteries myself which I believe is the perfect number for all-day flying with the ability to recharge depleted batteries while others are in use.
