It's a Corolla on stilts, with Toyota's 5th generation hybrid/all-wheel-drive system. The system makes a combined 196-hp, with power coming primarily through the front wheels via an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, while the back picks up the slack as needed with a separate, smaller electric motor.
