In this information rich, deep dive video we address the WWII usage of the P-47 Thunderbolt as a train killer. The primary mission of the 8th air forces was the destruction of the German air force. The send primary goal was the disruption of the lines of transportation which included destruction of the Reich’s rolling train stocks. The P-47 was the best suited US fighter bomber best suited for these strafing ground targets.
