Mosaic Damascus S-Guard Bowie with Birch Burl by Maximiliano Pescie

This S-Guard Bowie was made by Maximiliano Pescie (b. 1977). Maximiliano was born and still lives in a small, quiet town called Roque Pérez, in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina. Pescie started making knives in 2014 and has been learning and evolving his techniques since then, finding a fascination for forging damascus steel. He is currently a full time knifemaker and focuses his work on a refined stye with high details and exquisite fit and finish. The broad blade is hand forged mosaic damascus. The pattern is incredibly well controlled and shows tremendous skill at the forge. Dyed and stabilized birch burl handle scales are surrounded by gun blued 5160 fittings. The combination of gun blued fittings with the dark, convoluted wood is very dramatic. The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched tooled leather custom sheath. Absolutely masterful work!
