New VH-92A Presidential Helicopters Ready for Duty

The U.S. Marine Corps has completed its VH-92A Patriot presidential helicopter fleet with the delivery of the 23rd unit by Sikorsky on August 14. This marks the conclusion of a multi-year project to replace aging VH-3D and VH-60N models, offering improved safety, efficiency, and reliability. Powered by General Electric CT7-8A engines, the VH-92A can carry 14 passengers and a crew of four, with a range of 998 kilometers. It is the largest presidential helicopter to date, featuring a rear ramp for easier boarding.
