This video is about agglomeration of (micro-metric) particles floating on the surface of sub-harmonic (Faraday) waves. Agglomeration of floating objects appears in nature at different scales: plankton, organic residues, and garbage, all relevant for the oceanic ecosystem. In our experiments, we observe galaxy-like patters of agglomerated floaters. After giving the context of the study, we show our experimental observations and we present some ideas of how they patterns appear.
