Welcome to kitchen 27, today I will show you how to cook Ita konnyaku with garlic scapes. Ita konnyaku is a jelly-like food, made from konnyaku yam root potato. It is sometimes called konjac cake or yam cake, although konjac has nothing to do with real yam. This food is rich in dietary fiber and extremely low in calories. Garlic scapes have a strong garlic flavor, it matches with the Konnyaku (very little flavor) perfectly. It is the best vegan dish; hope you like this recipe. Ingredients: Yam cake (Ita konnyaku): 255g Garlic stem (scapes): 180g Onion: 25g Red chili sauce: 50g Light soy sauce: 1 tab Oyster sauce: 1 tab Vegetable oil: 2 tabs Salt for taste Steps: 1. Cut the garlic scapes to 1.5 inches length 2. Slice the yam cake to small strips 3. Chop the onion to small pieces 4. Add vegetable oil in a fry pan, wait the oil get heated (medium to high), put in onions and chili sauce, fry for 1 min, add yam cake strips, garlic scapes, stir fry for 3-4 mins (high heat) 5. Add salt, stir very well, serve in a plate 6. Enjoy it. Eat it as a side dish or rice.
