Processing documents is not always straightforward. We work with many different documents that have data represented in simple to highly complex forms every day. However, sometimes we have to extract specific data elements from unstructured documents. This can be very tricky and may require some level of logical thinking. Named Entity Recognition is a model that allows extracting specific data points from a string. Interestingly, this model easily works on documents to address unstructured and complex data extraction scenarios.
